Technology, Super Critical CO2 Cleaning
In its super critical state, Carbon Dioxide becomes a "super solvent", with zero surface tension, for enhanced cleaning action and particle removal. The use of super critical CO2 for cleaning silicon wafers during integrated circuit fabrication will enable the continued drive toward more powerful and faster computer chips, with more transistors and increasingly smaller feature sizes. It is estimated that the total market size will exceed $2.8 billion dollars by the year 2005.
